Core Update 42

Today we are going to release Core 42 which is a bugfix release and we strongly recommend to install this as soon as possible.

The core update implicates following changes:

  • Security
    • Update for OpenSSL 0.9.8p (fix race condition – CVE-2010-3864)
    • Update for OpenSSH 5.6p1
  • Webinterface
    • Fix Emergingthreats rules download URL
    • Add missing “copy” icon for urlfilter page

After installing this update you should restart all services that use OpenSSL. The easiest way should be a reboot.

The update is available via pakfire, thanks to all contributers.
